But everything in the two complete orchestral suites from which they derive is equally stunning and in this all-new recording by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sebastian Lang-Lessing they are coupled with the equally-popular Holberg Suite and the beautiful Wedding Day at Troldhaugen – composed in honour of the Norwegian composer’s jubilee wedding anniversary. For the novice there is no better introduction to classical music, and for the old hand these dynamic performances reveal new insights into this timeless music.
